Physician stream

The Physician Stream helps the IWK to recruit and retain physicians with the required skills for positions that they have been unable to fill with a permanent resident or Canadian citizen.

Eligibility

The Physician Stream is only open to general practitioners and specialist physicians (NOC 3111) with signed, approved opportunities with the IWK Health Centre. Please note: In order to proceed with the Physician Stream you would have to be chosen as the selected candidate from one of our vacant positions and also be able to obtain a Nova Scotia Practicing License.
