Mental Health and Addictions is a core component of Nova Scotia’s public health response to COVID-19. Our services continue to be available. When a child or teen has a mental health and addictions problem, we can help.
The Central Referral Service provides support over the phone and works with you to you develop a plan. You can get helpful information, community resources or an appointment for mental health and addictions services. You can call yourself. You do not need a referral.
Many of our clinicians are able to meet with you over the phone or through virtual video visit software to offer treatment. Although we have changed the way our services are offered, our commitment to providing excellent care remains the same.
Group based programs are being offered but they are virtual only at the moment. Community outreach visits are happening in person as appropriate (depending on the location of visit and guidelines in place within our community partner organizations).
