You’re in Charge is a program designed to help teens (and their parents) get ready for being in charge of managing their own health care, and eventually transitioning from the IWK. For 2015, we have partnered with Camp Brigadoon in the Annapolis Valley to offer an extraordinary weekend family camp. Education, adventure and art based programming has been created for teens, their siblings and parents. This camp is for teens 13-15 living with any chronic health condition and their families. With special activities for siblings, workshops for parents and sessions for teens with chronic health conditions, this is an extraordinarily weekend for the whole family. Expect to make some art, roast marshmallows, learn something, try something new, be silly, enjoy delicious food and make new friends.
