What is it?
You’re in Charge is a program designed to help teens (and their parents) get ready for being in charge of managing their own health care, and eventually transitioning from the IWK. For 2012, we have partnered with Camp Brigadoon in the Annapolis Valley to offer an extraordinary weekend family camp. Education, adventure and art based programming has been created for teens, their siblings and parents.

You're in Charge!
The You're in Charge program helps teens 13-15 living with any chronic health condition get ready to be in charge of their own health.
But You're in Charge isn't just for teens - we help parents get ready too.
This year we have four options:
You're in Charge Family Camp
Held at Brigadoon Village in the Annapolis Valley
May 31st to June 2, 2013
This camp is for teens 13-15 living with any chronic health condition and their families. With special activities for siblings, workshops for parents and sessions for teens with chronic health conditions, this is an extraordinarily weekend for the whole family. Expect to make some art, roast marshmallows, learn something, try something new, be silly, enjoy delicious food and make new friends.
Registration deadline is May 10th.
You're in Charge Family Camp
Held at Brigadoon Village in the Annapolis Valley
October 18th - 20th, 2013

Registration deadline is September 28th.
Information Session for Parents
Learn strategies for supporting your teens manage their own health, and learn about the full You're in Charge program. Held at the Spryfield Wellness Centre.
September 14th, 10-12
Registration deadline Sept. 1st
You're in Charge Workshop
An interactive half day workshop for teens and their parents. Held at the Spryfield Wellness Centre.
November 15th, 12-4
Registration deadline: November 1st.
