The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is located on the 3rd floor, Women’s and Maternity Services, IWK. If your baby requires the services of the NICU, we encourage you to spend as much time with your baby as you wish and to help in the care of your baby as much as possible. Family and friends are able to visit your baby as long as a parent is with them. If you are from away and cannot be here, you can choose four support people to visit (two at a time) in your absence. We understand that family is your main source of support and believe in providing care that meets the needs of your family.
