Fun Fair

Flea Market
When: Saturday, May 25, 2013, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Where: Gorsebrook Junior High, 5966 South Street, Halifax, NS
Silent Auction
When: Friday, May 24, 2013, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturday, May 25, 2013, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Where: Parker Reception Room, IWK Health Centre
About Kermesse
Kermesse is a Flemish word meaning "Fun Fair." It is a wonderful day for children and families. Organizing Kermesse requires the participation of hundreds of volunteers. It is a true community event and a great way to meet people while volunteering for the IWK Auxiliary.
Kermesse usually takes place on a Saturday in late May and features lots of play activities for the children, home made baked goods and candy, household items and books. Artistic creations are prominent as well, with the Art Gallery & Sale showcasing the work of Maritime artists.
