The Dental Team is an interdisciplinary team consisting of Paediatric Dentists, Oral Maxillofacial Surgeons, an Orthodontist, Dental Residents, a Clinical Leader/Registered Nurse, Dental Assistants and Dental Booking Clerks.
Paediatric Dentists:
Dentists who have specialized training in treating and managing oral health care in children.
Maxillofacial Surgeon:
Dental specialists who provide jaw and oral surgery to correct deformities or injuries of the jaws, face and teeth.
Orthodontist:
Dentists who have specialized training in the application of corrective appliances (braces).
Dental Assistants:
The Dental Assistants help the dentist in caring for your child. They may talk with you about your child’s medical history, take x-rays, assist with treatment and provide teaching about healthy oral health habits.
Dental Booking Clerks / Receptionist:
These are the first people you will meet. You may speak with them for information about your child’s appointments and you will register with them on arrival.
Clinical Leader:
The Clinical Leader is responsible for the day-to-day management of the dental clinic. This person is a Registered Nurse and can assist you by discussing your child’s special needs and in making any special arrangements.
