Outpatient referrals are also accepted from family physicians, school staff, caregivers, parents and patients. The IWK provides the only provincially insured pediatric physiotherapy service within the capital region.
Travelling clinics provide physiotherapy services for children with Cystic Fibrosis throughout the Maritimes, for Perinatal Follow-Up patients in Nova Scotia and PEI, and as part of a combined Occupational Therapy/ Physiotherapy service for children through the Hants Community Hospital in Windsor, Nova Scotia.
