EIBI is a treatment service that focuses on the core deficits of Autistic Spectrum Disorders through direct intervention with the child in natural settings. The model of treatment is based on applied behaviour analysis and our current knowledge of child development.
You will work with a team to individualize treatment to fit for your child and your family. The strategies are ones that all team members including yourself, carry out. Within the team, supervised bachelor degree-prepared EIBI program implementers provide most of the direct intervention in helping your child develop communicative and functional skills.
There is an emphasis on parent education and involvement, as it is understood that the strategies need to be applied by the relevant people in the child’s daily life.
