The Sun Life Financial Chair in Adolescent Mental Health is a partnership between Dalhousie University, Sun Life Financial and the IWK Health Centre. Stanley Kutcher, MD, FRCPC, holds the Sun Life Financial Chair in Adolescent Mental Health.
The Chair functions as a knowledge exchange centre by systematically collecting, evaluating, interpreting, translating and disseminating scientifically-validated information about adolescent mental health to advance the understanding of mental illness and to improve the disability caused by mental disorders in young people.
The Chair also works to create, develop and deliver a nationally and internationally recognized research, academic and clinical program by collaborating with healthcare providers, policymakers, schools, the business community, non-profit organizations and the general public.
The Sun Life Financial Chair in Adolescent Mental Health recently launched a website with more resources for educators, policymakers, healthcare providers, and the general public.
Teenmentalhealth.org is dedicated to helping improve the mental health of youth by the effective translation and transfer of scientific knowledge. It is a project of the Sun Life Financial Chair in Adolescent Mental Health, a partnership between Sun Life Financial, Dalhousie University and the IWK Health Centre.
