The IWK’s Infectious Diseases and Immunology group provides consultation to physicians and patients throughout the Health Centre, in addition to providing ambulatory (outpatient) clinics. Patients requiring consultations are generally cared for under another service such as Oncology, Respirology, Gastroenterology, Rheumatology, Neonatology, Intensive Care, etc. We also conduct an RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus) Prevention Clinic for eligible, high- risk babies who meet the criteria to receive the vaccine.
