Halifax Youth Attendance Centre (HYAC) – IWK continues to provide services to the Halifax Youth Attendance Centre. HYAC is a community based transition facility. It is a partnership in cooperation with the Department of Justice and key partners: IWK Mental Health, Department of Community Services, and the Department of Education. The focus of the program is to enhance public safety by encouraging positive attitudes and providing appropriate supports for youth and their family members to engage and be successful in their communities.
