On Saturday, May 24th, the IWK Auxiliary’s annual Kermesse fun fair returns with the Honourable Mayann E. Francis, lieutenant governor of Nova Scotia officially opening the fun fair!
WHERE:
IWK Health Centre, University Avenue, and Gorsebrook School Gymnasium, South Street (Flea market and book sales)
WHEN:
Saturday, May 24th from 10 am to 3 pm – Rain or Shine!
Official Kermesse kick-off at 10 am, Women’s side entrance to the Gallery, Goldbloom Pavilion
Please note: the Kermesse Art Gallery takes place from Thursday, May 22nd beginning at 7:30 pm to Saturday, May 24th in the Parker Reception Room
Here’s a little of what’s in store at Kermesse 2008:
Proceeds from Kermesse support the IWK through the Health Centre’s Auxiliary. Since its inception in 1911, Kermesse has raised more than $3.5 million. With these funds, the Auxiliary provides valuable comfort items, amenities and services for IWK patients and their families, as well as supports equipment purchases and research initiatives.
